About This Package

Mustang is a breathtaking Himalayan district in north-central Nepal, renowned for its dramatic landscapes, ancient Tibetan culture, and rich historical heritage. Often called the "Last Forbidden Kingdom," Upper Mustang remained closed to foreign visitors until 1992, allowing its unique traditions, monasteries, and centuries-old way of life to remain remarkably well preserved.

The region is divided into Lower Mustang and Upper Mustang. Lower Mustang features popular destinations such as Jomsom, Kagbeni, Marpha, and the sacred Muktinath Temple, while Upper Mustang is home to the ancient walled city of Lo Manthang, the former capital of the Kingdom of Lo.

Located in the rain shadow of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, Mustang has a unique high-altitude desert environment with colorful cliffs, deep canyons, ancient caves, and stunning views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Its dry climate makes it one of Nepal's best trekking destinations, even during the monsoon season when much of the country experiences heavy rainfall.
